Welcome to my weekly blog – I will post every Sunday providing updates of my journey.

Update of my journey so far:
6 weeks into this journey and the ongoing support has been nothing short of amazing.
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, messaged and offered advice.
Training:
The opening few weeks of training have gone well;
Exhibition Park half-marathon 03.02.24 (time- 1:30:56), a fairly flat run on concrete.
I slowly increased my weekly mileage leading up to Big Mud Marathon 25.02.24 (time- 4:29:18). A much harder race, double the distance, cross country, very undulating with a total elevation gain of 1169m and very muddy! A real insight into what’s to come.
Saturday 9.03.24, run to Northallerton Town FC, watch the game and raise awareness of the challenge. Thank you to all at Northallerton Town for having me, for sharing on social media and to top it all a great win. It was good to see you all.
Over the next year I intend to run to further stadiums – clubs that have had an influence in my life, for training and to help raise awareness within the footballing community before the Premier League Stadium ultra run in April 2025.
Further endurance training in preparation for the next challenge – The Ultra Loop in Heaton Park, Manchester next Saturday – running as many 5 km loops within 8 hours. My first taste of Ultra running.
I had been tracking my runs, using the apple fitness app.
Since Tuesday I have started to use Strava. I’m hoping it will be easier to share my progress.
Thank you all for your ongoing support and look out for an update next Sunday where I will update you on how The Ultra Loop goes.
